Job Description
Candidate will be required to complete a pre-screening selection process.
Candidatemay be required to attend a two week training course located in Chantilly, VA- if approved.
Candidate is responsible for the transportation and lodging when attending training course.
Candidate must pass the course in order to receive OPM Credentials.
Candidate with local, state, federal, and military law enforcement background experience is a plus.
Candidate must be willing to travel.
Under close supervision, conducts background field investigations on routine assignments for the purposes of employment suitability and security clearance determinations. Conducts face-to-face interviews in neighborhoods and places of employment to include private companies and government agencies. Performs record searches at courthouses and mental health, financial and educational institutions relative to subjects of investigations. Demonstrates the ability to interview, follow leads, research records and prepare reports. Must be able to elicit information helpful to the investigation from persons in all walks of life. Requires knowledge of investigative techniques and knowledge of laws, rules, and regulations. Requires analysis, decision-making and/or adjudicating results of PSI. Must possess US citizenship have a current drivers license and reliable transportation. Must possess excellent writing and communication skills and have the ability to work independently. Must be able to travel on detail assignments as required. Must have a minimum of a Secret security clearance prior to start. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance. Requires a bachelors degree or equivalent work-related and/or military experience and zero to two years of related experience.

- Clearance : Top Secret clearance, currently active
