Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities:

Lead Engineer opportunity in the Integrated Sensor Systems Division supporting airborne electro-optic surveillance and targeting systems. We are seeking an engineer with experience in electro-optic systems engineering and design. Must have a solid background in requirements analysis and experience working in an on-site role in a government lab or program office. Experience with thermal imagers, laser designators, and advanced gymbals is highly desired. In addition, there are opportunities to participate in special development projects for custom airborne applications.

As an emerging expert, performs a variety of complex engineering tasks of an analysis, design, or test nature in one or more of the company's product/service areas requiring strong technical skills in one or more software and/or hardware engineering disciplines. Participates as a team member or lead on project teams, and provides guidance to less advanced engineers. Engineering activities support both domestic and international products/services.

Collaborates with hardware and software designers/engineers, and analysts to develop, coordinate, analyze and evaluate hardware, software, or systems modeling and simulation-based studies and to examine ramifications of output, and design interfaces with various design systems.Performs complex engineering assignments of an analysis, design or test nature requiring application of specific standard techniques and procedures.Prepares complex engineering analysis of projects to include: preliminary design, calculation, life cycle cost and equipment selection and reviews the analysis of less advanced engineers.Reviews and critiques proposed changes to engineering standards, policies, or details.Reviews development plans for compliance with adopted engineering standards and good engineering practices.Performs research or other professional and scientific work in one or more software and/or hardware engineering disciplines involving the application of a knowledge of complex
engineering fundamentals.Provides guidance to less advanced engineers and may serve as a team lead on specific projects.


Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree (in Computer Science, Math, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology or related field) or equivalent, and seven to nine years of related experience
