Job Description
Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of IT systems. Manages IT system infrastructure and any processes related to these systems. Provide support to IT systems including: day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all of the client problems. Provide second level problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of problems. Provide support for the dispatch system and hardware problems and remain involved in the resolution process. Provide support for the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers.
Provides full integration support throughout the total system life cycle (including maintenance, administration, and management), across multiple systems/applications/platforms, including a familiarity of relevant policies, standards, methodologies, and frameworks.
Focuses on specific areas such as customer advocacy, customer relationship building, needs assessment, requirements definition and management, process/control gate support, systems integration testing, program management support, and technical integration.
Creates, drafts and/or reviews program documentation.
Generates formal review documentation.
Reviews and identifies system and program plan inconsistencies.
Analyzes relationship management, computer systems requirements and dependencies, both hardware and software.
Converts mission and customer needs into system requirements and definition, and work directly with the customer to define and prioritize mission needs.
Leads or participates in the coordination, support and evaluation of program-level Boards and meetings, and tracking actions and outcomes.
Provides guidance to less experienced employees.
Required Qualifications:
Microsoft Certified System Administrator (MCSA) certification or higher.
Must possess experience in one or more systems and architectures and associated hardware: mainframe, mini, or client/server based.
As a recognized company expert, must possess a total system perspective including the technical understanding of relationships, dependencies and requirements.
Security Clearance:
Candidate must possess TS/SCI security clearance with FS Polygraph.
Education & Experience:
Typically requires bachelor's degree (in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or related field) or equivalent, and 12-15 years of related experience
Physical Demands:
Normal demands associated with an office environment. Ability to work on computer for long periods, and communicate with individuals by telephone, email and face to face. Some travel may be required.
